- IDX E-HL9 87Wh Li-ion V-Mount High Load Battery with PowerLink & Digi-View
IDX E-HL9 87Wh Li-ion V-Mount High Load Battery with PowerLink & Digi-View
IDX E-HL9 87Wh Li-ion V-Mount High Load Battery with PowerLink & Digi-View
The IDX exclusive PowerLink feature connects two E-HL9 batteries for a total power capacity of 174Wh.
The E-HL9 supports Digi-View for reading battery levels in many of today’s camera viewfinders.
Battery Management System (BMS) can also be used for enhanced diagnostics and a comprehensive review of the battery’s history of use.
Capacity
With a continuous draw of up to 10 Amps, the E-HL9 has an impressive capacity using highly durable cell technology. High-load capacity results in 50% higher discharge rate for this series.
Low Temperature Discharge
Advanced low temperature discharge characteristics prohibit a voltage drop off down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit in extreme environment conditions.
Lifecycle
Longer overall lifecycle operators can expect about 10% longer battery viability when the 500-cycle level is reached.
PowerLink
PowerLink technology allows two E-HL9 batteries to be docked together, doubling capacity up to 176Wh for longer run times and high power needs.
Digi-View
Digi-View gives the camera operator an accurate display of the E-HL9's remaining capacity, shown via the camera's viewfinder.
Power Indication
5 Power Status LEDs are located on the side of the E-HL9 for a quick and accurate check of remaining capacity, shown in increments of 20%.
BMS
BMS is a unique software package that enables users to monitor the history and condition of their batteries to increase their life span. BMS gathers battery data and provides PC access to a comprehensive database, invaluable when managing large fleets of ELITE, E-10 and E-HL9 batteries.
Circuit Protection
Battery circuit protection ensures the E-HL9 is fully protected against common causes of battery misuse, guarding against over charge, over discharge, over current and exposure to high temperatures.

How to properly store batteries:
* For short term storage (day-to-day, week-week) = Store fully charged
* For long term storage (month-to-month, three months+) = Maintain a 20-40% charge in a cool and dry room for every 3
months of non-use. Check batteries periodically and charge when necessary. All lithium-Ion cells have a self-discharge rate,
so it is important to properly maintain and check batteries during long-term storage. Otherwise the battery cells will begin to
discharge, which will lead to the battery becoming over-discharged and the cell balance collapsing (dead).
*Periods of complete inactivity can damage Li-ion cells
Note: Keep stored batteries away from heat. (Examples include environments such as automobile trunks, heaters, ovens, and stoves)
How to properly discharge batteries:
* When using with video or lighting equipment, power consumption of the equipment must be equal to or less than the max
discharge capacity of the battery (The max discharge loads are listed below).
* Note that Li-Ion Batteries can be used in ambient temperatures of -20°C~50°C, but runtimes will be shorter in extreme high
and low temperatures.
* Stop discharge at 12V to reduce cell damage.
How temperature affects battery charge:
* Low ambient temperatures may cause slow activation of electrolytes, which results in a decreased rate of charge and
discharge.
* High ambient temperatures may accelerate cell deterioration.
Do Not Completely discharge Li-ion batteries prior to storage
Periods of complete inactivity can damage Li-ion cells
