Orca OR-83 Water / Sand Bag
How many times have you needed a sandbag, but found it was too heavy to fly with, so you purchased one locally and the leave it on location?
The Orca OR-83 Sand/Water Bag was designed to help carry sandbags to any location, with an option to then fill the bag with water or appox 4Kg of sand. The bag is made from one cavity of durable tarpaulin material with a binding strap, so it is easy to fill with sand or the optional Orca OR-83 water bladders.
The OR-81B Water Bladder shown in the images is sold separately and can hold up to 4 liters. We use two of them to fill the OR-83

What do you use as filler for the sand bag ?
There are many options you could use, here are a few examples
Play Sand - Avail from Hardware store
Dried Sand - Avail from Hardware store
Garden Pebbles - Avail from Hardware store
Aquarium Gravel
Rice - Grocery store
Rocks
Bottled Water - 350ml or 600ml sizes work well
You may want to consider using large Ziploc bags to hold your chosen filler, so as to keep the inside of your sand bag cleaner and help protect the sand bag.
Getting grit or sand caught in the zip or Velcro can become a problem. Also using a Ziploc bag for your filler will help contain any spillage, just in case your sand bag closure was not 100% sealed. Double bagging the filler is also a good tip - Ziploc bags are avaiable from Grocery & Stationary supply stores, the Large size bags are approx 26 x 27cm
