Shotgun mircophones are very sensitive to wind noise which will distort your your audio signal. If you are recording outdoors or in drafty indoor environments you'll need some wind protection. Choose from the minimum wind protection with a foam windscreen or add an additional layer with a Softie as a cover. Alternatively, never worry about wind again with a Blimp.
