The new connectors feature shielding for the USB 3.1 pairs, ensuring optimal protection and signal integrity. They also include a pair of USB 2.0 contacts for backward compatibility and two low voltage power contacts, making them versatile for various applications.

LEMO’s USB 3.1 connectors are available in several models:
- B Series (IP50): Ideal for indoor applications.
- K Series and T Series (IP66 to IP68): Perfect for outdoor and extreme environments.
Pioneering Ethernet Solutions
In addition to USB connectors, LEMO is a leader in Ethernet solutions. In 2019, LEMO introduced the first Push-Pull Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) connectors to the market. SPE is a significant variant of Ethernet transmission, using only two twisted copper wires to transport up to 50 W of power. While SPE offers slower transfer speeds (1 Gb/s vs. 10 Gb/s), it is more flexible, compact, lightweight, and cost-effective. This makes it particularly appealing to industries like automotive, railways, and industrial automation.
LEMO’s SPE connectors are available in the B, K, and T Series, with two variants: single SPE (size 0-511) and dual SPE (size 1-512).
