Looking to disrupt the digital cinema and film production industry the Panasonic LUMIX S1H Kit DC-S1HMKIT with 24-105mm F4 MACRO O.I.S Lens pushes technical innovation to the limits of what's possible in a full-frame mirrorless camera body.
The Panasonic S1H is the world's first mirrorless interchangeable lens camera that is capable of 6K 24p video recording. S1H offers 10-bit 4K in both UHD (16:9) and DCI (19:10) of up to 50/60p in Hyper Log Gamma (HLG) format and is capable of unlimited* recording in all recording formats thanks to the new built-in silent fan enabling long-form recording of documentaries, events and more.
Full VariCam V-log and V-Log L ensure that the S1H can be matched to both cinema-grade cameras and cameras such as the GH5/GH5s. When using V-Log the rated dynamic range according to Panasonic is an impressive 14+ stops of dynamic range.
A fully articulated screen ensures you can always see what you are recording while exploring different camera angles or presenting in front of camera as a solo content producer.
This kit includes the versatile Panasonic LUMIX S 24-105mm F4 MACRO O.I.S Lens which offers a flexible zoom range, 2:1 close focusing magnification rate and a constant f/4 maximum aperture; ideal for a wide range of photographic opportunities, such as vast landscapes, beautiful flowers and plants and stunning portraits.
The Panasonic LUMIX S 24-105mm F4 MACRO O.I.S Lens also features a 6-stop 5-axis Dual IS optical image stabiliser for sharper handheld shooting and a silent design for video autofocus.

24MP Full-Frame CMOS Sensor with LPF
Featuring a full-frame 24MP CMOS sensor incorporating a low pass filter the S1H's imaging capabilities have been optimized for high sensitivity, a wide dynamic range, and flexible recording modes. The S1H's processing power helps to suppress noise levels and enables an extended sensitivity range of ISO 50 to 204,800.
Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization
Helping to achieve the utmost sharpness when photographing handheld, Dual IS combines the S1H's 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization technology with lens-based 2-axis image stabilization to compensate for a broader range of movement types to render sharper, clearer imagery. Dual IS requires the use of compatible Lumix lenses featuring OIS. This stabilization system can compensate for approximately 6.5 stops of camera shake.
6K / 4K DCI & UHD - Mirrorless Video Recording made cinema-ready
Creating a new entry-point for cinematography the Lumix S1H can deliver true 6K/24p (3:2 aspect ratio) video from its full frame Sensor. Additionally, it is also the world's first mirrorless interchangeable lens camera that can shoot 5.9K 25/30p (16:9 aspect ratio) and 10-bit 50/60p 4K or Cinema 4K (DCI), helping push the technical and creative potential for what's possible in a mirrorless sized camera.
The S1H is capable of non-stop video recording in every recording mode (depending on battery and memory card capacity). Panasonic has worked hard to solve heat dissipation problems that are traditionally associated with small bodied cameras like mirrorless and DSLR cameras.
Long-form content is no longer out of reach due to camera limitations, the S1H is ready for mission-critical filming like corporate videos, documentaries, events, panel discussions and more.
Additionally, recording to an optional external recorder is possible via the HDMI Type A port, and support for an external microphone and headphones are also available via dedicated 3.5mm jacks.

V-Log / V-Log L Colour Profiles - post production flexibility
The S1H offers V-Log/V-Gamut to ensure maximum detail and tonal range ensuring your footage captures as much information possible in subjects such as skin tone, high dynamic range scenes and bright outdoors scenes in challenging conditions. Resulting in maximum flexibility when it is time for post-production enabling the ability to push colour-grades further and reducing the chances of unrecoverable 'clipped' highlights.
Designed to fit seamlessly into your existing Panasonic setup, the S1H features both VariCam V-Log and V-Log L, unlike Panasonic's previous mirrorless video-focused cameras you can now match your footage to not only a Lumix GH5 or GH5s, but also high-end cinema-grade cameras from Panasonics respected VariCam range.
14+ Stops Dynamic Range | V-Log & V-Log L profiles with Dual Native ISO: 640/4000
The S1H boast 14+ stops dynamic range when shooting V-Log ensuring a wide spectrum of detail is captured from shadows to highlights in the scene. The Dual Native ISO nature of the sensor in the S1H means you have two different calibrated base ISOs, one at 640 and the other at 4000. This 'trick' ensures that the way the dynamic range is distributed ranging from light to dark stays similar at low and high ISOs, in turn resulting in easier matching of footage shot at different ambient light level and footage that responds the same way when grading or applying LUTs.

The Panasonic S1H utilizes the L-mount used in conjunction with other members of the L-Mount Alliance, the L lens mount is a versatile interface with a mount diameter of 51.6mm and a flange distance of 20mm for working with a broad range of optics and adapters.

New silent built-in fan enables unlimited recording in all modes while offering the same durable, weather-sealed magnesium-alloy construction and the same level of weather resistance as the Panasonic S1.
Ergonomic design provides a large, comfortable right-hand grip along with easily accessible physical controls, and a refined overall UI design for intuitive use.
The fully articulated Vari-Angle Screen + Tilt Hinge makes it easy to explore new camera angles, tilt, shoot from high and low or simply check the framing when presenting in front of the camera as a lone-operator.
Additionally, illuminated buttons aid settings adjustment in low-light conditions and a lock lever prevents unwanted settings changes.

The S1H uses the same DMW-BLJ31 rechargeable lithium-ion battery as the S1 and S1R.

The S1H features a new Digital Status Display (Black or White) on the top panel which can be used to display either photo or video settings. In another nod to their VariCam range, Panasonic has also included front and rear tally lights on the S1H to show recording status, your subject/talent will be able to easily tell when the camera is rolling.
On the front of the camera, there is also a bottom left record button for side operator access when the S1H is used with a crew or in a hard to reach spot.

The Panasonic LUMIX S 24-105mm F4 MACRO O.I.S Lens is one of the most flexible and versatile lenses for L-mount cameras, featuring a constant f/4 maximum aperture; ideal for a wide range of photographic opportunities, such as vast landscapes, beautiful flowers and plants and stunning portraits. Covering a versatile wide-angle to short-telephoto range this lens offers outstanding resolution throughout the entire zoom range and expressive potential.
A series of low dispersion and aspherical elements are used to control a variety of aberrations, colour fringing, and distortion in order to realize a high degree of sharpness, clarity, and colour accuracy. Balancing its optical performance, this zoom is also unique due to is 1:2 maximum magnification ratio and 30cm minimum focusing distance to suit working with close-up subjects.

Panasonic LUMIX S 24-105mm F4 MACRO O.I.S Lens offers a maximum magnification of 0.5x and a minimum focusing distance of 0.3m, coupled with high-speed and high-precision 0.08-second autofocus featuring a linear motor and 480 fps AF control. Capture active instants with confidence and be ready when 'you just need to get a bit closer' with the half life-size 1:2 magnification ratio and close focus.
