The Switchcraft TA5F is a premium 5-pin female mini XLR connector, engineered for rugged performance in demanding audio environments. Known for its compact design and secure locking mechanism, this connector is a staple in the broadcast, film, and live sound industries.
The TA5FX is a 5-contact cable-mount female Mini XLR Connector with tin-plated contacts. Commonly used on Lectrosonics The connector is made with the black chrome-plated brass housing, molded black thermoplastic elastomer flex relief and molded black thermoplastic latch button. The connector is designed for light weight and unobtrusiveness. Positive latch system assures high integrity, vibration-resistant mating and transfer of shielding connection between housing, combined with simple and easy fingertip release. Flex relief protects by minimizing cable bending stress at point of cable entry.
The TA5F is widely used in Lectrosonics wireless systems, including:
Lavalier Microphones: Connects directly to Lectrosonics belt-pack transmitters (e.g., SMV, SMQV, SMWB, SMDWB).
Audio Cables: Interfaces with Lectrosonics receivers like the SRc5P and SRb5P for balanced audio output.
