The Panasonic Lumix S PRO 24-70mm f/2.8 S-E2470GC is the quintessential workhorse lens for Lumix L-Mount cameras. It offers a versatile 24-70mm focal range, bright f/2.8 aperture, and an ultra-fast autofocus system that uses both stepping and linear motors for optimal performance. As well as being dust and splash resistant the camera has a manual focus clutch for intuitive control and uses aspherical, extra low dispersion and even an ultra-high refractive index element to ensure incredibly high-resolution performance.

Hands Down the Most Useful Zoom Range
Most photographers sing the praises of a 24-70 and there is a damn good reason, they cover almost every subject and have earned the title of “most versatile lens”. Shoot everything from dramatic landscapes and group portraits at the wide end to close-up portraiture and fine detail at the telephoto end.
Bright f/2.8 Aperture
With a bright f/2.8 aperture across the whole focal range, the L-mount 24-70mnm lens can create images with a soft depth-of-field separating subjects from their backgrounds. The benefit of the full range aperture is that there are no rude changes in exposure when zooming. 11 aperture blades help to create a gentle bokeh in the out-of-focus areas of your shot and when shot closed down create eye-catching starburst effects.
Dual Autofocus Motors
Using both a linear and a stepping motor allows the 24-70mm to achieve autofocus speeds like never before at speeds as fast as 480 fps which, paired with the advanced focusing system of the S1 cameras delivers fast and accurate performance. The lens has a mechanism to reduce focus breathing which cinematographers will appreciate and there is even a manual clutch control to physically switch between focus modes.
Robust Construction with Premium Build Quality
Boasting a rugged dust and splash resistance construction, the SE-E2470 is designed to stand up to the rigours of daily use as required by working photographers and videographers. Not only that but the lens is rated for operation in temperatures as low as -10°C to give adventure and travel shooters confidence when shooting off the beaten track.
Premium Optical Performance
Lumix lenses with the S PRO classification have been carefully designed to deliver the ultimate imaging performance, and the Lumix 24-70 S Pro is no exception. It uses 18 elements arranged in 16 groups, which in addition to 3 aspherical and 4 extra-low dispersion elements also feature a new ultra-high refractive element to reduce the size and weight of the lens while preserving edge-to-edge sharpness.
