Litepanels Gemini 1x1 Hard RGBWW Panel - Standard Yoke
Stability, rugged construction, flexibility, and control are hallmarks of the Litepanels Gemini 1 x 1 RGBWW LED Hard Panel with Standard Yoke and Power Cable. Similar in design to the Gemini 2 x 1, the LED layout has been reconfigured with the Gemini 1 x 1, allowing it to create 60% of the output of the Gemini 2 x 1 with a medium-wide beam angle of 46 degrees. The aluminum-constructed, 320 x 320 x 110mm fixture has multiple lighting modes including CCT, Hue, Saturation, Gel Presets, as well as an effects mode. The CCT color temperature control has six factory presets in increments from 2700 to 10,000K.
There are also six presets for user-defined color temperature and plus/minus green control. The HSI Color mode allows you to adjust the hue, saturation, and intensity, while Gel mode permits your choice from a library of filters favored by filmmakers, and an effects mode provides nine different effects to work with. The light has a CRI/TLCI rating of 98, indicating an accurate rendition of color. The Gemini is dimmable from 100 to 0.1% without flicker or color shift, and settings and features are displayed on the rear LCD screen.
All of these adjustments can be made locally on the unit or remotely via a console, thanks to the Gemini's built-in DMX. There's even the option of wireless DMX or Bluetooth control via a separately purchased remote module. The Gemini is ready for worldwide use, thanks to its built-in 100 to 240 VAC power supply but it can also run on batteries when power is unavailable.
The Gemini has a number of convenience features, such as the ability to stack and gang several lights together with an optional yoke and hardware. You can also daisy-chain multiple lights together in Master/Slave mode, allowing a single designated "Master" light to control the others. This version of the Gemini ships with a Standard yoke and a Bare Ends power cable.
The Power to Create the Extraordinary.
Power your imagination to create the extraordinary on screen. With an impressively bright output of over 3,000 Lux at 3m/10', Gemini 1x1 delivers a bright and accurate 1x1 light. Blast through a silk, build layers of diffusion, or bounce light off a board, with precision control of hue, saturation, intensity, gels and effects, Gemini 1x1 gives you the power to control and create your own "extraordinary".
AC or Battery Power
Unleash the full creative power of Litepanels' Gemini LED panels at 100% lighting intensity with Dionic 26V mobile power solutions. The optional Gemini Gold Mount Plus Dual Battery Mounting Plate allows two Dionic 26V batteries to attach directly to Gemini family LED panels, enabling hours, not minutes of runtime. Hot-swap batteries deliver a continuous portable power supply so you're never left in the dark. Equipped with an XLR3 output, it plugs directly into Gemini family LED panels.
Ultrabright, Hard and Soft Light
Similar in design to the Gemini 2 x 1, the LED layout has been reconfigured with the Gemini 1 x 1, which allows it to create 60% of the output of the Gemini 2 x 1. The beam angle is 46 degrees.
Choice on Demand for Fast Changing Productions
The power expands the creative potential of a 1 x 1 panel. With more power to command and control, you can use a wide range of diffusion and creative light-shaping tools, not possible with less powerful fixtures. Combined with full RGB control of over 16 million colors, 300 gels, and 11 customizable special effects, the Gemini 1 x 1 adapts to your imagination.
Naturally Accurate in Any Scene
True to life color reproduction comes naturally with Gemini. With CRI and TLCI ratings of 98, the Gemini 1 x 1 delivers consistently accurate and dependable white light at CCTs from 2700 to 10,000K with no color shift or flicker at any frame rate, shutter angle, or at any intensity from 100-0.1%. You can be sure that everything in your scene, from close-up candlelight to brilliant sunlight, appears true to life and the skin tones of your on-screen talent are rendered perfectly.
Lightweight Design, Industrial Strength
Tough enough to meet the rigorous demands of daily set life in the studio or on location, the Gemini is compact and lightweight for rapid rigging and easy transportation. Manufactured to industrial standards using durable, robust materials, Gemini is designed to protect your investment for years so you can rely on it.

Why has the Gemini 1x1 Hard got a 46° beam angle?
Lensing the LEDs to a tighter beam angle than the 1x1 Soft concentrates the light into a smaller area and significantly increases the intensity of the beam. 46° is a standard used by the Astra 6X and still creates a light useable on talent without diffusion. Adding the domed diffuser will create a beautifully soft light with a wide beam angle for added wrap around subjects or consistent ambient lighting across an area, yet still with more power than the Gemini 1x1 Soft.
Is the Gemini 1x1 Hard a true Hard light?
Gemini 1x1 Hard uses non-diffused, lensed LEDs to cast an intense beam of light further than any other 1x1 RGBWW panel. Because it uses multiple LEDs over a larger surface area, it will cast a different, slightly softer shadow to a single source light such as an HMI. However, its output is greater than a 200W HMI and this allows it to be used in a similar way to many hard lights that are then diffused, plus it has the added benefit of being useable on talent even without diffusion where necessary.
Which diffusers come with the Gemini 1x1 Hard?
The Gemini 1x1 Hard comes supplied with an Ultra Light Diffuser and a Domed Diffuser. The Ultra Light Diffuser clips into the front face of the panel and offers a low level of diffusion but softens and widens the beam. The Domed Diffuser slides separately into the accessory rails (so both diffusers can be used at the same time) and is set around 5cm/2” from the LEDs. This softens the beam even further and homogenises the light across the front face. The domed diffuser is designed to allow some light to pass through the sides of the diffuser, widening the beam angle up to around 100°, to create a light that effortlessly wraps around the subject and creates a single, soft shadow. Medium and Heavy clip-in diffusers are also available if required.
How can I get more output?
We know customers always want more! The answer to this is the dual or quad array. Stacking panels together increases the output proportionally (2x for a dual, 4x for a quad). With a quad array you’ll get 12,000 lux @10ft/3m (5,600K). That rig will run off 8x Anton/Bauer Dionic 26v 240Wh batteries for over 2 hours at full blast and weigh only about 23 kg (+12 kg with batteries and brackets). That’s a huge output, from a relatively lightweight, battery powered rig that can be disassembled into four 1x1 panels when needed.
Do the LEDs need extra protection when the diffusion panels are removed?
No, it is perfectly safe to use the Gemini 1x1 Hard without any diffusion panels. The LEDs are protected by impact resistant lenses.
