A single clockwise revolution of the handle raises the stand 44mm while a counter-clockwise revolution will lower the stand by the same amount. With a self-locking handle for safety. 

The 483T Wind-up Light Stand features a levelling leg that can be extended to adjust for an incline or uneven terrain. The stand includes a skid-proof footstep located at the main section of its base allowing access to its upper section to make adjustments if needed.
