Betso RF Octopus Compact RF Splitter / Combiner
Betso RF Octopus Compact RF Splitter/Combiner
The world's most versatile RF splitter, combiner and diagnostic tool
The RF OCTOPUS is the smallest and world's most versatile RF splitter, combiner, and diagnostic tool ever made. This groundbreaking device supports multiple configurations, including splitter 2:8 (diversity: 1 input ? 4 outputs), splitter 1:8 (1 input ? 8 outputs), and combiner-splitter 2:8 (combining two BNC inputs and splitting the signal into 8 outputs). With user-selectable low-pass filters (700 MHz, 960 MHz, or 1260 MHz) directly accessible via the intuitive menu, the RF OCTOPUS is perfectly suited for worldwide applications.
Its sunlight-readable OLED display, paired with two bright white LEDs, ensures effortless operation in any environment. Additionally, each channel features individually switchable power for active antennas, complete with overload protection and failure signalization.
The RF OCTOPUS also includes a removable belt clip that can be mounted on either the top or bottom of the chassis. Firmware updates and new features are easily accessible through the USB-C connector, which is securely sealed against dust and water.
But that's not all!
At Besto understand the vital role cables play in the RF world. That’s why the RF OCTOPUS comes equipped with a built-in cable attenuation measurement tool. Testing your cables has never been easier - simply connect the RF cable between two BNC connectors, select your frequency (500–900 MHz), and instantly measure the cable’s attenuation and condition. This is the most reliable way to ensure your cables are in top shape!
In addition, the RF OCTOPUS can measure the output RF power of your wireless transmitter, providing a quick and reliable check to ensure your RF power output is within the expected range. Another powerful feature for a comprehensive wireless system checkup!
Unmatched configurability: The smallest and most versatile RF distributor and diagnostic tool ever made. The following operation modes can be selected directly from the menu:
Splitter 2:8 (Diversity: 1 input ? 4 outputs)
Splitter 1:8 (1 input ? 8 outputs)
Combiner-Splitter 1:8 (SUM of two inputs ? 8 outputs)
Wide operating range: 470–1260 MHz with user-switchable low-pass filters 700/960/1260 MHz which limiting range to:
470 - 700 MHz
470 - 960 MHz
470 - 1260 MHz
Top-tier performance: OIP3 > 40 dBm, RF amp noise figure < 0.8 dB, isolation between outputs > 21 dB (typical)
User-selectable gain: Adjust overall gain from -10 to +10 dB in precise 1-dB steps
Sunlight-readable OLED display: Ensuring easy operation and settings adjustments
Individual antenna power control: Enables simultaneous use of active and passive antennas, each with dedicated overload protection and failure indication
Automatic power-on function: Automatically powers on the device when connected to a power source (This feature can be disabled in the menu, requiring the user to power on the unit manually.)
Exceptional precision engineering: Durable CNC-milled aluminum alloy chassis.
Convenient power options: Standard 4-pin HRS connector (6–18V DC)
Innovative cable testing: Measure cable attenuation (0–35 dB, suitable for checking cables up to 200 m) on user-selected frequencies (500–900 MHz)
Integrated transmitter power tester: TBA (Measure output power of your transmitters (up to 250 mW) with special measurement cable - with SMA or LEMO 1pin RF connector, sold separately!)
Future-proof updates: USB-C connector for firmware upgrades and additional features
Removable belt clip: Allows easy attachment to your sound bag or cart
Compact and lightweight design: Measures 75 x 48 x 17.8 mm (without belt clip) and weighs only 110 g (with clip)
